38 weeks...the battle with heels has been long lost and shelved until baby boy is born. In the meantime, despite the fact I can't wear them (2 stones of extra top/front heaviness does not a stable heel make), my (platform/stripper/silly) shoe fetish is reaching new heights.
It all started here in 1996:
Platform boots from Shellys. I saved up for EVER for these.
And then, years later in 2003 Stella McCartney produced these beauties and started my love for fitted over the knee boots. Not the pantomime kind (or Stella's later version (A/W '05) as worn defiantly by Heather Mills McScary), but the fitted, flattering, edgy, gorgeous variety. The platform/stiletto combo means I have to get them re-heeled after a couple of wears - but IT'S WORTH IT:

I waited until they came up on eBay a year later to buy them. And I'm glad I did. Despite their overtly foxy nature, they seem to come out at sombre events. The last time I wore them was at a funeral - worn with a longish dress they were entirely appropriate.
Earlier this year Agathe from Style Bytes found these ridiculously high stripper shoes from an eBay shop (Michele X of London have a very educational catalogue). I was so sold, I bought them myself. They make tranny shoes which reminded me of the film Kinky Boots...
That then led to these from here:
Oh my - it just goes on....The thing is, before you dismiss stripper shoes out of principle - they were always designed to have the most ankle slimming, leg lengthening effect - with a certain amount of attitude. You can't argue with that.
On a bumpier note - I have to settle myself with a more study kind of sole and heel. Such as Prada-esque school marm combos.
Grey over the knee socks - American Apparel, patent navy lace up heels - eBay
Or more realistically, these:
Leather flats - Mango
Black U neck dress - American Apparel, grey bubble hem maternity skirt - Topshop

Ok, I'm drooling over here. Some SERIOUSLY hot shoes you have there lady!
